Climate change projections for precipitation and temperature variables

The study consisted on estimating precipitation and temperatures under climate change conditions for the area of the Cauquenes and Coligües dams, owned by CODELCO. For this, first, the historical time series of monthly precipitation and temperature were generated, derived from the integration of the information from the DGA stations and the CR2MET product, for each selected station. It was concluded with the generation of precipitation and temperature time series for each selected GCM, in the baseline and future period (1980-2060), generated from a scaling process with the QDM method.
